Event Details

This guided walk will discuss the formation of raised bogs in Ireland, their use by Bord na Mona and current enhanced decommissioning and rehabilitation works that are ongoing. The talk will also aim provide an overview of the ecological, environmental and cultural value of raised bogs while focusing on the biodiversity features of interest available at the Lough Bora Discovery Park.

This event is part of national Science Week, supported by Science Foundation Ireland.
