This insect folklore video workshop with en tomologist Nessa Darcy includes a short learning session about insects, their habitats and conservation needs. This incorporates folklore about particularly interesting Irish insects, such a the devil’s coach horse. The children get a chance to make up their own insect s tory, which will be recorded, and to create their own rudimentary paper insect puppets and background to act out a video to illustrate their s tory. The video will be edited subsequently and put online. This workshop is suitable for aged 8+.
