Did brown bears fish for salmon in Lough Ree? Did giant deer roam through the midlands of Ireland long ago? Drop-in to the Bridgeways Family Resource Centre to learn about lost and local wildlife. Watch short videos on extinct animals in Ireland, inspect museum handling collections of fossils, furs and bones and meet with Educators from the National Museum of Ireland – Natural History, also known as the Dead Zoo. For all your local wildlife questions, meet with special guest, Owen Murphy, warden with the National Parks and Wildlife Services for Lough Ree and the mid-Shannon callows. Irish Sign Language (ISL) interpretation included at this event. Wheelchair accessible. Event suitable for age 9+
